Soccer Expert Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Olly Murs in Top Flight Predictions

Arsenal's 10-game winning run was ended by Sunderland prior to the international hiatus, however will the Premier League leaders bounce back against local foes Tottenham this weekend?

"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," remarked soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this season - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still find a way to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, versus AI, fans and a range of special visitors.

In the twelfth round, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.

The singer's new album, the new release, is available on Friday.

Soccer and Parenting Experiences

Olly is a skilled soccer player as well as a accomplished singer and has been a featured player of multiple Soccer Aid matches over time - but he is not planning a serious comeback as a player.

"{I recently played in a charity match the other night for a mate of mine," he explained. "The side was losing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!

"I still love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or boy decides to play instead."

The singer and his wife his partner have a young family, their daughter and Albert, and he is ready to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their coach.

"I won't push football on our kids but I've already told my wife that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be coaching their Saturday soccer side," he added.

"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly was involved with a soccer team for a period too.

"My dad did it with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I inherited it. He coached our team for several years and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues might have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's return from injury but their attack is already more potent with Pedro and Delap both back fit.

I still think this fixture will be fairly close, though. The Clarets are well organised and their sole home losses so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.

This smells of a 1-1 tie to me, but I am actually going to choose Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.

Sutton's prediction: 1-2

The singer's prediction: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

AI's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have lost their past two matches - although both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, West Ham won two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at home, they appear competitive again.

West Ham's only away win this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when their boss Nuno was previously that team's manager.

Therefore, what on earth do I predict here - will it be the Hammers continuing their streak under Nuno, or the home side responding?

I am going to go with Bournemouth, because I think what happened against Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

Olly's outlook: Bournemouth are doing well but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were considered one of the favourites for the drop before the season started, but they have impressed a several people under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three wins in their past four games.

My son told me to select Brentford forward Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks back and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

Thiago will likely score again on Saturday but I am still not going to select him or back Brentford at Amex Stadium.

The Bees have not had great fortune on the travel this term, and Brighton are always decent at their stadium. Brentford will try to attack on the break but I think the home manager's team carry much more of a danger.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

The singer's view: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a many scores but it in reality turns out to be quite tight. 1-1

AI's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a massive fixture for Fulham, who have lost five of their past six matches.

They have got lots of talent in their team but it still feels like they could be dragged into a relegation fight.

Regarding the Black Cats, indeed they are the unexpected success of the Premier League season so far.

Their performance in the two-all tie with Arsenal last time out was superb. We have not witnessed anyone else rough up the Gunners like that this term, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.

The logical choice would be to back the visitors here, because they are obviously capable of disrupting Fulham up too and, the last time they were in west London, they beat Chelsea at the end of October.

However I am not going to choose that. Rather, I truly need to continue opposing the away team with my predictions. I am taking a lot of credit for their positive results because they evidently love to prove me wrong.

Looking at Fulham's home record, the sole side they have lost to is the league leaders. Marco Silva's side will be absolutely eager for a good result, so I am going to say they will pick up three points.

Sutton's forecast: 1-0

The guest's choice: I'm aware the visitors are performing strongly and also that the hosts are on a poor streak... but they have still been decent at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

The algorithm's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a tough one to predict. The Reds have suffered seven of their past 10 games in every tournament, but could they be one of the teams who profit from the {international break|
